Description
This tiny bird loves light! and I guess that’s why she’s attracted to light in a lantern!
I’ve made the using vitreous enamel and sterling silver. Enamelling is done over copper blank. First, I made the blank and counter-enamelled it. The enamel coat on the pieces’ back and surface is the result of applying several layers of enamel grains. I have bended and shaped the silver wires, and fused them on the basecoat enamel on the blank. Then, I start filling the created cells using enamel coats. After applying each layer, I fire the pieces in my kiln at around 785 degrees celsius. This is a technique called “cloisonne”.
After finishing the enamelling, I set the piece in sterling silver as the pendant. I have also set a tiny citrine to add shine to the piece.
The diameter of the enamel is 3.3-3.4 cm and the height of pendant from bail to the stone is about 5 cm
The chain necklace is made of solid sterling silbird and lantern enamel pendant ver beads and is about 46 cm.
