I have made these blue-eyed bird studs using fine silver, vitreous enamel and a simple use of plique-à-jour technique. Plique-à-jour means “letting in daylight”. In this technique, the enamel is applied without backing, so light will pass through the transparent enamel. These blue-eyed birds with flowers grown in their wings are not normal birds!
The length from the beaks to the tail measures 3.5 cm
