Description
I’ve made this botanical necklace using enamel, fine, sterling and argentium silver, agate and peridot. Enamelling is done over copper blank. First, I made the blank and counter-enamelled it. The enamel coat on the pieces’ back and surface is the result of applying several layers of enamel grains. After applying each layer, I fire the pieces in my kiln at around 785 degrees celsius. I have designed and made this enamel using only thick silver foils. I am happy how the black background and multi-coloured plants turned out!
After finishing the enamelling, I set the piece in sterling silver as the pendant. I have also set a tiny peridot to add shine to the piece.
The diameter of the enamel is 2.5 cm and the height of pendant is about 6.8 cm
The necklace is solid sterling silver and measures about 50-51cm
