Gold tree cloisonne necklace

I’ve made gold tree cloisonne necklace mainly using vitreous enamel and sterling silver. Enamelling is done over a fine silver foil fused on a copper blank. First, I made a copper blank and counter-enamelled it. The enamel coat on the pieces’ back and surface is the result of applying several layers of enamel grains. I have bended and shaped the silver wires, and fused them on the basecoat enamel on the blank. Then, I start filling the created cells using enamel coats. After applying each layer, I fire the pieces in my kiln at around 785 degrees celsius.

After finishing the enamelling, I set the piece in sterling silver as the pendant. I made the bail and prongs using silver bonded to copper sheet to complement colours. The beaded necklace is made using various wooden beads and stones. I really like wooden bead, their colour and classy look and the fact that they are eco-friendly!

The diameter ofgold tree cloisonne is about 3.1 cm

The chain necklace is sterling silver and is about 58.5cm.
