Description
I have tried to capture trees lit by golden sunlight in the beginning moments of day!
I’ve made “Trees cloisonne pendant” using vitreous enamel and sterling silver. Enamelling is done over copper blank with fused fine silver foil. First, I made the blank and counter-enamelled it. The enamel coat on the pieces’ back and surface is the result of applying several layers of enamel grains. I have bended and shaped the silver wires, and fused them on the basecoat enamel on the blank. Then, I start filling the created cells using enamel coats. After applying each layer, I fire the pieces in my kiln at around 785 degrees celsius. This is a technique called “cloisonne”.
After finishing the enamelling, I set the piece in sterling silver as the pendant. I have also hung a beautiful green recycled glass bead to the piece.
The diameter of the enamel is about 2.5 cm and the height of pendant from bail to the stone is about 7.2 cm
The necklace is solid sterling silver 60cm long
